Source (THT News): This spring season more than 300 mountaineers are looking forward to step at top of the world. According to sources most of the climbers have already arrived at Everest region to acclimatize on high altitudes.

According to Gyanendra Shrestha, Government tourism official, 30 different expedition groups have granted Everest climbing permissions and still more groups are in process. These climbers spend months climbing snow capped peaks like Island peak for warm-up purpose and proper acclimatization.

Due to last year’s deadly disaster many climbers had abandoned the expedition and only few have reutilized last year’s permit due to Nepal Government’s indecisiveness. Department of Tourism said 300 foreign climbers would scale up to Everest this climbing season.

This year avalanche disaster minimization and quick rescue team with medical doctors have been arranged at Base Camp. Many Everest records are online and mountaineers from all over are striving to step at Everest summit; 8848m above sea level; highest you can be on earth.

The summiting journey begins from Mid May and usually ends at early June each year.
