Everest Base Camp Trek more safer due to enhanced Everest rescue

Everest-rescue

Everest climbing season 2015 has turned on and Nepali government officials have released a press statement referring that the number of medical staffs at Everest base camp will be increased and the rescue operation will pick up its speed.

As sixteen Sherpa guides were killed last year because of deadly Everest avalanche, one of the deadliest natural disasters on Everest, this step has been taken to reduce the risk. Mr. Koirala from Himalayan Rescue Operation stated that at least four doctors with medical equipments will be appointed at emergency room tent in Everest Base Camp. They will take care of every medical attention and refer to helicopter rescue immediately in emergency case.

He added that within ninety minutes, helicopter rescue will be operated and a patient will be airlifted to hospital as soon as possible for minimizing the health risks factor. In between March 1 to May 31, nearly thousands of national and international climbers attempt to summit Mt. Everest this 2015 climbing season. It is be taken as positive step from Nepali government.
