After the devastating earthquake of April 25, 2015, many people thought Nepal is totally destroyed. Especially the international media rumored of the destruction with exaggeration. The picture of the destroyed sites presented in the media has created a negative message to rest of the world, people may be thinking there is nothing left in Nepal. BUT the reality is “NO.” Yes, Nepal faced a huge devastation; the whole country was disturbed but only less than one third of the country faced the destruction. Yes, some structures collapsed but many are still standing. The beauty of Nepal is still as it is, just as alluring as it used to do before the earthquake. Only two of the hundreds of trekking trails were affected and now they are already repaired and are okay to trek through. The beauty of UNESCO World Heritage sites is intact. Yes the heritage sites lost some of the heritages but many look like they never saw any earthquake. These pictures are taken post earthquake after the debris of some collapsed monuments was cleared. The government had stooped permission to enter these heritage sites post earthquake but now after they are examined and debris cleared, Nepal government has given permission to tour around these UNESCO World Heritage sites. Let’ have photographic tour of Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. And after this Photography tour, we are sure these pictures will lure you to come to Nepal as soon as possible.
