Manaslu Region Trekking

Manaslu region might not be on bucketlist of many travelers, but in recent years, it has been gaining popularity. In the peak season, most of trekkers focuses on either Everest or Annapurna making this Manaslu region in a shadow. At Annapurna region, government is developing the roadways to remote areas and classic trekking routes are getting shorter. May be due to these factors, Manaslu has began to evolve as another major trekking region in Nepal. However still it is off the beaten path restricted trekking region with limited number of tourists visiting each year.

Mt. Manaslu is standing tall at more than eight thousand meter elevation and this region lies at Gorkha district of Nepal hosting quite a few trekking trips. As it is a restricted area, special trekking permit is required and every trekkers should follow the defined rules as ordered by the government. Therefore, trekking at Manaslu region is an exclusive opportunity to see the unseen and tell the story that has never been told before. It is also true at once in a while, Manalsu circuit trek is compared with Annapurna circuit trek but there are quite a different in natural sceneries and from other cultural aspects too.

17 Days (i) – Manaslu Circuit Trek

17 Days of Manaslu Circuit Trek is the standard itinerary for this trip. Manaslu trek follows the Budi Gandaki river and circumferences around Mt Manaslu. There are quite a few steep ascends while crossing the high altitude Larkya La pass at 5135m along wutg steep downhill trekking. The altitude changes quite dramatically so, while you are crossing the high altitude pass and getting above 5000 meters of altitude, you must ensure that your itinerary is well planned with perfect acclimatization points.

Our Lower Manaslu and Tsum Valley Trek is of 17 days that starts from Gorkha. Trekking through lower part of Manaslu region includes beautiful villages of Barpak and Laprak which exceptionally beautiful tourist attractions before 2015 earthquake that hit the region hard with epicenter.  However, things are getting normal now. This amazing adventure also comprises visit to Tsum valley with plenty of cultural Tibetan Buddhism exploration.
