How will be my typical trekking days in Nepal?
Usually most of the trekking trips in Nepal involve an average of 6 to 8 hours of walking and sometimes even more while passing through high passes. While following the extraordinary trails you will be trekking through scenic valleys, subtropical forests, romantic meadows, high passes, ridges, turbulent rivers, glittering lakes, and glaciers and of course surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains. Nepal is home for different floras and faunas including national flower rhododendron, national bird Himalayan Monal (Danphe) and endangered species like red panda, musk deer, etc. Nepal is also rich in the cultural and ethnic diversity offering diverse festivals celebrated in traditional way. In recent years, most of the trekking routes such as Everest base camp, Three passes of Everest region, Gokyo Lakes trial, Annapurna base camp, Annapurna circuit, Manaslu Circuit, Poon Hill, Langtang region trek have teahouses offering lodging, fooding and relaxing services where as the camping trekking is equally enjoyable in adventurous trails like Kanchenjunga circuit trek, Dhaulagiri trek, etc.
Best Season For Trekking in Nepal
Trekking can be joined all the year around in Nepal, but the best season to trek in most of the trails of Everest, Annapurna and Langtang, Manaslu, area is spring (March to May) and autumn (mid September to December) as the weather is best and you can get clear views of mountain in these time of year. You can trek along the rain shadow area like Upper Mustang and Lower Mustang during monsoon season too. Monsoon does not affect these areas as these are rain shadow area.
