Amazing Everest Base Camp offers lot of things to see, explore and experience around the foothills of highest Himalayas. And there are few things that you would like not like to miss. So, here I have listed few things that you should look after while joining popular walking adventure to Everest Base Camp.

1. Architectural Stone Sculptures:

During EBC trek, most of us start our journey from Lukla airstrip and head towards Phakding. On the route to Phakding, we find Buddhist prayer inscriptions beautifully carved into the huge stone boulders. While trekking alongside the river, you might also see stone sculptures visible few times on riverside.

2. Monastery visit at Thame Village:

Also don’t miss an opportunity to make your way all the way to Thame from popular Namche Bazar. Thame is also the home of legendary Apa Sherpa who holds the record of climbing Everest most number of 21 times. Likewise, visit to Thame monastery, exploring wonderful insights, prayers and rituals gives us wonderful feeling making our EBC trek even more worthwhile.

3. Visit Sir Edmund Hillary School and Kunde Hospital:

Sir Edmund Hillary is considered as the godfather of Everest region as he has played major role in developing overall infrastructure for local community. Lukla airport is also called as Tenzing Hillary Airport, you will pass through Hillary suspension bridge and also don’t miss Sir Edmund Hillary School where now more than 300 students craft their future and along the way also visit Kunde Hospital which was too built under the project of Sir Edmund Hillary.

4. Ancient Tengboche Monastery:

With stunning grand Himalayas at the backdrop, this huge monastery gives us deep insights into local Buddhist traditions. We can also attend daily morning prayers for more exploration opportunities.
